Default Professional Picture Installer

Can anyone recommend someone that hangs wall art/pictures. On occasion I have run into something metal behind the wall. I also can't figure out how to hang something that is in front or behind a pocket door.

TIA

I could be wrong but I think that the metal is a wall stud.

I don't understand your pocket door comment. My pocket doors have plenty of room to drive a picture hanger nail into the drywall. When you encounter a metal stud, you just need to use 2 picture hangers, one on each side of the stud. They make picture hangers that will hold very heavy pictures and even mirrors. For most people, hanging pictures is a DIY project. But, any handyman will hang pictures for you. Here are a few to try:

Along with the previous comments, I have used a small drill bit (1/16 inch) to drill a pilot hole, and you can use a sheet metal screw and hook for your picture. As long as you do NOT use a real long nail or screw that would penetrate to the door. The big box stores carry a variety of wall hangers for use on drywall. The typical plastic expandable plug and screw should work fine in the area of the pocket doors.

When I hit the metal stud I was trying to center a clock that had only one place to attach it to the wall. Dead center.
