I don't use a debit card at all. I use my credit card if I want ATM cash but almost always go to my nearby bank to get cash.

Unfortunately, some banks don't allow credit cards to be used to get cash from an ATM. BB&T issues a separate debit card for that purpose.

I am sorry this happened, but, I was taught to sceptible of everyone and everything. These scammers have an answer for any questions you have. Take a breath, think for a minute, close the door and think again, if it doesn't make sense send the delivery man on his way.

My first clue would be the flowers and wine. First, flowers always have a card attached to a plastic spike in them, or it's clipped to a leaf. Second, I don't know anyone who would send me alcohol. And third, who sends a present that requires a delivery charge? Those are some pretty big red flags.

when has a delivery driver ever called you? If you received an unexpected call from an unknown caller would you give this “delivery driver“ your home address? He probably wouldn’t have both your cell phone number and your home address. Have you ever had a gift delivery which required a payment? Scammers don’t need a scanning device to make a new card. there’s just so much that’s fishy about this story. Urban legends are so far fetched if you really think about the details. And the flowers and wine were undoubtedly from a prince in Ethiopia who promises to pay you back with a big bonus if you’ll wire him a loan.

This bogus thread should not have been allowed IMO
