Default shelving in closets

I want to organize my closets with new shelving. Who would you recommend to do this job This is not a very big job (2 closets), but I would like a job well done at a fair price. Thanks

If you want to stay with the wire shelving, and just rearrange it this is fairly straight forward. That is what I did one both closets, I set up a high and a low shelf. This allows 2 rows of clothing. Also, I installed the new mounting brackets into the studs, which the original installers did not. I also bought a ClosetMaid cabinet kit with drawers for the one closet fit very nicely and is a do it yourself project.

One word of caution, several of the studs in the closet area maybe metal. I used a small drill for a pilot hole and it was obvious if I hit a wood or metal stud. For the metal studs, I left the pilot hole and used a sheet metal screw for the mounting. For the wood studs, used the normal expandable plugs. What I found was the expandable plug were being cutoff by the metal stud and would pull out very easily.

Hope the above info helps.

We had Tammie Hutchcroft at Custom Home Closet do our master walk in closet and the closet in one of our bedrooms. Her showroom is on the east side of 301, about 3 - 4 miles north of route 44. She did an excellent job designing what we wanted and her installation crew was polite, efficient and did a great job! Here's a link to her web site: Custom Home Closet :: Impressive changes...you deserve it!

If you go, tell her Ed and Phyllis referred you.

In Michigan I had our closets designed professionally but done with wire rather than wood. It was just as efficient and cost a lot less.

Does anyone know of a company that does this around the TV area?
