I don't have to call them again. They made it perfectly clear when I called them after the first time they raised my rate with no changes; they were not going to honor the one-price-for-life promise they made when I switched from CenturyLink to the rebranded QuantumFiber. This same thing played out with several of my neighbors (who received the same message when they called). I do not have their router.

I saw this on their web site:
>>>
Bank account payment required. Taxes and fees apply. 360 WiFi and other equipment lease charges, taxes, and fees are excluded from Price for Life offer and may be increased.
<<<

I know any taxes or fees is if you get their phone service but I wonder if it has something to do with the equipment.

When their newer wifi7 equipment came out did you upgrade your equipment or do you still have the old original equipment installed?

Either way I would call them to find out to see if the price change has anything to do with your specific setup or is it just a general increase.

Unfortunately, "one-price-for-life promise" would be more effective
to get it written on a ice cube.

I originally had 200 mbps service at $30 a month. They raised it to $40 a month maybe a year ago. The new price is now $45.

Here’s the email they sent today:

“ We want to let you know the monthly recurring charge (MRC) for your Quantum Fiber® 360 WiFi® service will increase by $5 on or after October 3, 2025.

The new MRC will show on your account after this rate change takes affect. Your payment method on file will be charged the total amount due, including the new fee, unless you cancel your 360 WiFi service before October 3, 2025. Otherwise, your continued use of your 360 WiFi service tells us you accept the changes stated in this notification. “

This is all very interesting because I just signed up my neighbor today who had Xfinity for $40/month and he just got a $5/month + tax increase. I can't believe these are connected but either way Quantum is still very reasonable but I agree they shouldn't say price for life if they raise it occasionally expecially if you have your own equipment and it's the same service. What I also find interesting is the people who have the $50/month 500Mbs, as far as I know haven't got an increase. My other neighbor got a $5/month reduction on his 1Gbs. Go figure.
