Default Question about the paper deliveries

I thought I saw a recent post where someone mentioned you could not get any outside papers delivered in TV...True or Myth? We are still PTimers but I love the Wall Street Journal...I can get it delivered here in VA through the local paper delivery......Is that not an option in TV????

It is an option. We picked the WSJ up from our neighbor's driveway last month while she was away....

Have things changed on this note recently? We are snowbirds and last year I tried to get home delivery daily of the USA Today as well as Sunday delivery of the NY Times and was told by both newspapers that home delivery was not available in The Villages. Does anyone get home delivery of either of these papers?

Depends on the paper. Orlando Slantinal delivers daily but TV is outside delivery area for St. Pete's Times. I suspect if the paper had a carrier available, they'd deliver. And as to recent change, I've been getting the Orlando Rag since 2005.

I too had tried previously to get USA Today, and couldn't. Haven't checked lately.

We had Orlando paper for years then finally gave it up. If the St. Pete paper would deliver here I would give it a try.

For over two years we have had The Wall Street Journal delivered. It has never been a problem.

Thanks from me, too. I will call the USA Today as soon as I return next month and I will also try the NY Times again for Sunday delivery. I cannot do without my Sunday Times crossword puzzle.

I was informed that there is definitely no delivery of the NY Times here. Of course you can read it online free, until they wise up and start charging for it.

I've been trying to get the Sunday N. Y. Times delivered since I moved here. Clearly, it is newspaper non grata in TV.

I assume that if you can not get the Times delivered it is because the Times has no delivery available in the area. Since the streets are public I find it hard to believe that anyone can prevent them from delivering the paper here.
