That's not to say that you shouldn't buy if the house and price meets your budget and needs. I just mention it as something to keep in mind because it can take you close to a 45 minute cart ride to play the Lopez course or head over to Wal-Mart on 466 from that end of the development.
Location is no big deal here. You're close to Sumter. You're right on top of Colony Plaza, a rapidly maturing shopping area. Yeah, all of Buffalo Ridge is a fairly long cart ride, but it's 15 minutes by car. Distance to Lopez is totally immaterial since you have 4 excellent Country Clubs almost in your back yard and there are a ton of Exec Courses in the area with more coming.

On the downside, of course, the place is overrun with street gangs and illegal immigrants. The local MS-13 chapter, of which we're quite proud, is currently in a battle with a Asian gang of control of the drug trade. There's an occasional drive-by, but no big deal.

Also a negative, you're quite a ways from the local hospital. However, more and more medical types are moving to the Sumter Landing area and there is an Urgent Care facility there. Plus you're closer to the Leesburg Medical Center.

We've found that the weather is nicer in the southern part of the TV, the people are friendlier, the women more beautiful, the men more intelligent, and dog never go on your lawn

(I've checked the above, and like 60 Minutes stories and stuff in the NY Times, some of it is true.)

Muncle, very informative,

since I'm looking for a convenient means to launder money from my various ~operations~ I think the south side with the drug gangs works best for me, thanks!

Mucle, where is the most convenient area for looting and pillaging? I don't want to have to drive too far to get plunder, what with the price of gas these days.

One of the 'street gangs' in Hadley will meet tomorrow night for a block party. There may be a few loud music vehicles (golf carts with radios) pullin' in, too.
Life is good an' gettin' better in da Villages.

Oh Muncle,

As terrifying as all that can be, you have neglected to tell them the worst part.

I have heard that due to the slowdown in the real estate market, the developer has been forced to sell to DEMOCRATS.
:yikes:

Sigh. . . yes, they are offering homes to those kinds of people. In order to meet their demands, they must provide an Adjustable Rate Mortgage with interest rates than only reduce, guarantee a 20% annual increase in the value of the home, provide new owners with veto authority over any actions in future development of TV, provide said buyers with a full disclosure of assets and profits of the developer, family, and associates along with authority to determine a "fair" return on investment for these people and ability to demand a rebate as desired, and, of course, a complimentary membership in the POA.

Boomer, I think she might have insulted you. But don't take it too hard. A lot of us think you really do have a "marvelous" personality. Now if you could just get over that innate shyness like Kathie did and maybe cut back on the animal husbandry (hey, it's an accepted practice in some societies). Go B3 !!!

Zummy and his bride pulled the trigger and did the deal on a CYV in Bainbridge villa in Hadley this week.

We just got back to upstate NY and decided to check the reply's to my question.

We 1st went to the Villages 4 years ago , but were far from ready. The price was to good to pass on on our third trip down. Although we are about 2 years away from spending 6 months a year in our new digs, we are anxiously awaiting. We hope to visit several times a year in the interim to meet our new neighbors. Dreams do come true.
