NO THANKS!
Well, better get educated on cell phones📱. In the not so distant future you won’t be able to do any business without one.

There are many reasons. They buy merchandise from different wholesalers or directly from the manufacturer. Some store plow advertising dollars into reducing the price while others use the money as profit. Some stores are based on volume, others are based on profit, or any combination.
Stores are different sizes, have different tax obligations to different towns, the states have different wage and labor requirements, distribution costs more in those towns, and so on and so forth.

For the same reason every publix has different pricing. This is part of the retail business. You price based on demographics. Considering people pay what is considered ridiculous amounts of money for certain jobs (trust me I understand why) that effects the overall market. I've heard it many times "oh the villages? those people are loaded" that's because of the spending here. whether it is ridiculous or not, in the entire market it does lean in that area, so when the pricing team in retail sees that up go the prices.

I see tons of people at Walmart, trust me I'm pretty price aware for the most part you aren't getting any deals no matter what the sign says LOL. When we were in Brevard county I would drive an extra 5 minutes to change publix because the price of a ribeye went down $4 per pound. it's all about where you live.

As mentioned before, get the app or go to the website on your computer.

In Sam's club you can even skip the checkout lines with your phone.

Cell phones are a wonderful thing except for the radiation.

[QUOTE=Michael G.;2055960]I was told there is a difference in prices between the Walmart in TV,
compared to the Walmart on Hy. 441?

TV Walmart charges more because it's in TV.

Any Walmart shoppers notice this?

I used to work at the Walmart TV. The prices are about $3 higher than 441 store. They won’t match the price of the 441 store. They say it’s because they are on The Villages property and have to pay The Villages rent & percentage of profits, etc….
There is also a sales tax difference from 1 store to the other.

Yes there are big differences. For example, milk at the Walmart on 466 is $1 more than milk at the neighborhood marketplace Walmart. Same county, only a few miles separating them. There are other differences too where it’s the other way around

That part of town you mean Stone Crest and Spruce Creek or Lowes and Beals or maybe you mean Publix. I guess you won’t be going to the new BJs since it all in that part of town. FYI how many altercations and fights have there been in the town squares over chairs maybe you don’t need to go to that part of town either

Hilarious put I'll give their first Opie credit for not realizing the world is different from one corner to another. Did you ever drive by two gas stations and they had totally different prices even though they were virtually across the street from each other.? But I guess you're really complaining that things cost more in the Villages because you were richer. That's not just one of the reasons but because of the rents for the land etc etc I can also tell you that if you got a Taco Bell in Leesburg Central it's $0.30 cheaper for a taco and if you go to the new one that was built all the way down towards the turnpike because it cost a million that was more to build the newer one .

The Walmart in Leesburg was I believe a Kmart 20 plus years ago and I'm sure they leased it at rates that Realtors would probably go crazy for today. I've never felt unsafe at this Walmart in Leesburg or any other since they are extremely busy with people coming and going all day long. Yes it's not as great or new looking but I'm very used to where everything is and luckily for me there's a lot less AAA personality Villagers shopping in Leesburg . You would not believe the crazy drivers trying to park and do 50 miles an hour in The Villages Walmart parking lots you literally take your life in your hands

I’ve shopped at the Walmarts on 441 Summerfield, 466, 466A Colony and 441 Leesburg depending on where I’m going. I don’t take notice to all the items I’m buying, but the items I buy most frequently are prices the same in all four stores. People think stores in The Villages charge more because the people in The Villages are “rich”; BS is some of the stores and restaurants charge more here, it’s because the rents are higher - - - location, location, location.
