Yes, if it produces seed pods and you let them produce fruit, cut pods out before they produce fruits.

Yes, especially songbirds.

Only if allowed to produce seed pods fruits, no fruits 🍎, rats will move down street where food source is.

Rodents, rats, squirrels, etc will fight back. House cats don't know how to deal with them, usually. Feral cats hunt and kill for food. Once they have eaten will go rest and digest their meal. House cats just kill. Since they aren't hungry, they don't eat their kill. They leave the inactive prey and go off to kill again. Anything that moves is fair game.

We recently saw two rats in the same day in our garage. We called our lawn and pest company, Falcon. They came out and set box traps on each side of the garage door (outside). They charged $50 to set the traps, and quarterly we pay $10 for them to check and reset. Haven’t seen one since. Worth the piece of mind for us.

Merrymini, you forgot one thing. I’m assuming the other animals are our pets. Remember they’re suppose to be on a leash. If the other animals you talking about are wild animals, you won’t know because they’ll be long gone & die elsewhere. Then you won’t have to worry about them killing someone’s pet. Not trying to sound cruel, just trying to see if we want to kill rats or worry about a rat infestation!

I check/refill them every 3 months and each time there is far less evidence of any rat activity, so I assume I am killing many rats and have seen NO evidence of rats around my house for years. Not very costly, easy to check/refill, and clearly effective.

Thanks for this idea.
I think if anyone even suspects you have a rodent problem, these rat bait stations
is the way to go.
I have palms and fruit trees so I'll be investing in some soon.

I wonder if Rural King would carry them it tractor supply??

We used to have a very serious rat problem here, but I found a solution. We trap them and I BBQ them in my smoker. Just like a short haired squirrel......

WRONG. FACT CHECK
Domestic cats kill between 1.4 and 3.7 billion birds and between 6.9 and 20.7 billion mammals (mostly mice, shrews, rabbits, squirrels, and voles) each year, according to a study published last year in Nature Communications.

So according to science songbird sandwiches are not the cats favorite delicacy. Lol. BUT…

The greatest threat to birds is LOSS OF HABITAT. Yes your little slice of paradise multiplied reduces places where birds can eat, have protection from the elements and raise their young. Cats and all predators do what nature intended, strengthen the animal/avian population by eliminating the weak.

So, we need to reverse the human reproduction explosion since we are responsible for loss of habitat?
