In TV, most trick or treating starts around 3PM and goes no later than about 8PM. Most trick or treaters are home and preparing for bed by about 8:30PM. The majority of trick or treaters come in basic casual summer dress or no costumes at all. You should not need to procure a large supply of sweet treats as most, if not all, trick or treaters are not interested in sugary treats and prefer alcohol beverages. Most of these "kids" are in the 55 - 85 year old range. So your best bet is to stock up on beer, tequila and bourbon. Make it fun and scary for all and enjoy a Happy Halloween.

They have trunk or treat at the squares and the local municipalities have a Spooktacular. One in Lady Lake and one at the Wildwood community center. I volunteer with the Rotaty Club of The Villages Noon and get to see all the littles.

No trick-or-treating in the villages except for Brownwood Square.

Some of the churches arrang “trunk or treat” activities in their parking lots. Little ones go from car to car and you have treats in your trunk, I guess.

Jello Shots anyone?
Up north my daughter has thousands investing in Halloween. Lots of animatronics. She does a great job and my grandson loves it. |

I've been here for ten years and have never seen a tick or treater. I think that they might hold something at the squares for the kids.

It would be fun to have kids trick or treating in the neighborhood. Up north we use to have hot spiced rum for parents and candy for the kids. We now are involved with a couple of resort clothing stores and travel to one of them for Halloween. Most areas the stores are in have elaborate trick or treat nights. At St Armands in Sarasota the HS drama stages the thriller video on the center lawn. The entire circle is full of people from baby to 97 years old. The older crows (over 50) come up with the most elaborate costumes. For TV it sounds like Brownwood is the place to go.

I've been here since 2014. Came from CA where we would have probably at least 50 kids or more. I always bought 150 pieces of candy so they could each have a couple or more. The first year here I bought 100 piece bag at Sam's and then I bought another 50 piece bag since I didn't know how many would show up. NONE! Here I sat all alone (hubb y wasn't here yet) with all of this candy staring me in the face. Of course, I bought only the kind I liked. 2015 rolls around and I thought 2014 was just unusual so I bought 100 piece bag. Same thing! I wised up friom 2016 on! (doesn't take me long). We've never had any trick or treaters at our door. I miss all of the neighborhood kids and their friends but we knew them & watched them grow up over the years. All is quiet here and that's okay too! Happy Halloween!!

I have great memories from my childhood on Long Island. The streets were filled with throngs of kids all dressed in costumes. On the weekends, Trick or Treating would begin at 9:00 in the morning and go all through the day. We kids would come home for "pit stops" and unload all our candy on the dining room table. Then Mom would "sift" out the really good candy and keep that for us. She would hand out the rest of it as this went on all day long.
On school day, we kids would Trick or Treat on the way to and from school and then start the ritual for the rest of day light. We didn't go out at night. That's why it was great fun looking at all the colorful costumes on the kids during the day. There were some night time Trick or Treaters but they were the older guy teens. I don't have memories of me going out after dark when I got older though.

I buy two bags of snickers. One for me and one for me the next day.
