That wouldnt work. You could get some sort of motion activated sprinkler, though.

What really PO's me is smokers throwing their filtered cigarette butts in my lawn as the mowers don't pick it up and it ends up in pieces on my freshly mowed lawn. In closing, be glad you don't have Canada Geese hanging around your yard as they make a huge mess and they don't pick it up.
Filtered cigarette butts that land in my yard also get me WAY MORE angered than dog do-do, which is more natural. It is kind of an insult that Golf Cart drivers throw those butts out on yards - why don't they have a can with sand in it for their butts - a good citizen/resident would do that much for their neighbors. Also, birds have been known to go after the cigarette filters and end up choking on them. With all the chemicals placed on yards, we seem to have very few songbirds here in The Villages, at least compared to up north. We DO have plenty of crows here that must eat the songbirds' eggs. Maybe some brilliant scientist may find a way to cross a crow and a bluebird to come up with a nice song. (just dreaming)

From her point of view, a baseball landing in her yard could just as easily have broken her window. We tried to use a tennis ball if we were batting around in the street when I was a kid.

Yeah sure, blame it on those nasty golf cart drivers. Who you claim are running around at 30mph. I doubt they could hit your yard with a cigarette buttif they tried. It’s most likely the same inconsiderate dog owners that let their dog crap on your yard. If they don’t care enough to pick up after their dog they probably won’t pick up after themselves either.

The dog owners may NOT be MORE inconsiderate, there just might be WAY more of them here.

Get rid of retractable dog leashes and use a short leash so that you can control where your dog relieves itself.
Do not take your dog to another area to relieve itself, it's your dog keep it in your neighborhood.
Carry dog poop bags and use them and take it home with you instead of throwing the bag in the curb or in the storm drains. Yes, you do that .... there is a storm drain outside my home and I have watched you throw your waste in the drain.

For those of you who KNOW how to own a dog a BIG THANK YOU.
I watched a lady's dog on a long retractable leash get ahead of her and BITE a man walking in the opposite direction. It was an unprovoked attack.

More dog owners, more inconsiderate dog owners, I’ll buy that!

However, I do see dog owners who are disrespectful of other’s property. Dogs don’t need to walk on extension leashes and they don’t need to be in the middle of your yard. The edge 2-3 feet is enough and makes it easy to pick up after them.

On the other hand, get over yourself. If you find a way to keep the rats, birds, rabbits, worms, roaches, etc. from pooping in your yard, please let the rest of us know.
I often poop twice a day. Admittedly, "I am full of it". I think that I could poop on command most of the time, but that's just me. I also have been taught to "sit" and to "stay", but I have been having problems with that "fetch" stuff - that is a tough one!

It's only grass, but it's my grass. Would you let your dog crap in someone's garage? If it ends up there because it was tracked into my house under my shoes, is there any difference? If I have to pick it up off my grass, and then put it into garbage can, and then have to smell it every time it put garbage in it, is it still just grass? Yes, but it's my grass, They have their grass, use it.
I live where several dog owners walk by. I told them that their dogs can poop in my yard - it is just free fertilizer to me. I cut my own grass and can't remember the last time I ever stepped in it in my yard, maybe near a dog park? And I would have definitely realized it by smell or sight before I got into my house.

labs are good dependable dogs that want to please an owner, but on the scale of intelligence, I am GUESSING somewhere between 5th and 10th. German shepherds are up there and also Australian shepherds.

WOW! Sorry she had to experience that. Anyone that kicks a dog in a situation like that deserves jail time.
