Get over it. Peeing on a property is harmless. You should have moved to a community that does not allow dogs.

Unhappy A Reasonable Request to Dog Owners

How about a dog owner who carries her dog from a block of $500,000 plus homes to a patio villa neighborhood each day and lets her dog pee and poop on our lawns. Sometimes picks up if she sees neighbors watching!

Really No Harm that someones dog is pooping on someone else's property?????
What is wrong with you?? Why can't the dog owner have his dog poop on his own property?? And You don't understand?? Really then how about the owner walking his dog accross the street to his neighbors property and poop on his neighbors property. OH No he wouldnt do that because it wouldnt be nice right. DON'T WALK YOUR DOG DOWN THE BLOCK AND POOP ON SOMEONE ELSE's PROPERTY.

It’s not as reasonable a request as it might sound. Most dogs don’t go poo or pee on their owners demand. Walking them is for exercise primarily, most let their dogs out back of their own homes to pee and poop. But as life would have it, dogs poop and pee when the urge arises, similar to horses. What’s critical is that the owner picks up after the dog. Walking the dogs down the streets a responsible dog owner would typically allow the dog to walk on the furthest most points of the lawns away from the houses closest to the street so the dogs don’t get in the way of moving vehicles. Dogs naturally enjoy the scents they pickup along the walks and mark spots and go when the urges arise. If the poop is being picked up, and is not directly on your front walk, you are dealing with responsible dog owners. Also, note most responsible dog owners will not let a dog on someone’s lawn if a sign is present indicating keep dogs off my lawn or similar verbiage. It does point out that the owner of that particular home is not tolerant and not worth the confrontation. If you have dog walkers that ignore such signs then I would agree with the above that you are dealing with a much smaller percentage of dog owners and have some seriously bad luck in neighbors. I own multiple dogs and I too would not appreciate anyone allowing their dogs to poop on my yard without cleaning up after themselves. A dog peeing on my lawn doesn’t bother me as I don’t picnic out front and wouldn’t ever have to directly come in contact with it. My 2 cents… and worth about as much

Default Oh well then

If your dog gets sick or dies from poisonous chemicals on a lawn then, I guess, that is just too bad for your dog and you.

I’ve lived in many different communities over the years,
but until I lived here, I had not experienced so many entitled, inconsiderate dog owners
who had little or no respect for others property!
I’ve had dogs and they are not the problem!

Why should a homeowner have to put up a 'no pooping' sign? How about instead, dog owners use the properties that have 'let your dog relieve itself here' signs? Wonder how many of those you will find.....

I always enjoy hearing people complaining about dog owners not picking up their dog's poop from their lawn not realizing that we have numerous wild animals roaming our lawns from dusk till dawn every night.

Take your dog outside and walk your dog around your yard, front yard, back yard, side yard where ever you like on your property until the dog poops. After the dog is done pooping make sure you pick up the poop and then take your dog for a walk on YOUR BLOCK. Recently I noticed a owner who lives in the Village of Ashland on Haretison Ave walk his medium to large dog several houses down his block and make a turn onto Crawford Court walk several houses down and now his dog is pooping on my neighbors lawn. I mean really don't you feel bad your walking your dog and your dog is pooping on other peoples property. Why not allow your dog to poop on your next door neighbors lawn or the people that live accross the street from you. Please don't walk your dog 2 blocks away from your house and allow your dog to poop on someone elses lawn. We the Homeowners, Your Neighbors who live in The Villages pay to maintain our lawns. Watering, Cutting, fertilzing, etc. etc. just like you do. We really don't want your dog pooping on our lawns. THIS MESSAGE GOES OUT TO ALL DOG OWNERS.
Like I said earlier WAlK YOUR DOG ON YOUR PROPERTY TO DO IT'S POOPING!!!!
NOT YOUR NEIGHBORS LAWN!!! Thank You in Advance.
Next time you go out to eat, Make sure you pee or poop before you go. If you are so smart, you shouldn't have to ever pee/poop except at your house.

Couldn’t agree more! I had one woman allow her dog to walk almost to my front pathway on the retractable leash!! No exaggerating. I walked outside, asked her to kindly refrain from allowing her dog to do this. Her response was “ but it’s hot out and there isn’t a lot of shade like there is here and I do pick it up”!😳 You can’t fix stupid or ignorance. Good luck.

No signs allowed in your yard.... but.... here's an idea, put out a Massey sign as in just sprayed for pesticides. The Villages has NO PROBLEM with tacky little lawn service signs which some (not all) have a no pet on grass due to harmful chemicals logo on them. Not only will people avoid your lawn... it may actually look like one cares about the well being of dogs.

Trained my dogs to use the commode and they flush it too. In my dreams... I do walk them beyond houses and use bags... the one is 12 and the other 11. They like to pee multiple times. They are both geriatric and constantly need to pee which is an identifiable geriatric condition for the populus living in TV.

I have them pee first in my yard before a walk. If the one can't make it to the common area to pee, sorry she will go in the street so there's that. Beware of going barefoot on public roads but it's better than infringing on someone's lawn.

Be sure to post when the first living creature no longer has excrement. It will make for an interesting thread to on ToTV.
