Random thoughts:
1. Our local pool pipes in the moldy oldies from TV radio. Not a fan of having to listen to old crap alllll the time. I (we) like a variety of music but not oldie oldies all the time. I vote for no piped in music at any pool. 2. So do I understand that because you don't want to listen to music no one should be allowed to?? Interesting.... 3. I don't see a thing wrong with having a small bluetooth speaker between lounges or chairs that can be appreciated in that small environment but not across the pool. If you want to listen music, be courteous and don't plonk down next to someone who is reading...novel thought?? (pun intended) 4. Loud talking that fills the entire pool area is an artifact of loud people. You are not going to change/regulate loud people. 5. How about people just be courteous ....can't we all just hug and get along? Rarely is a solution black or white. Most often, courteous people find an acceptable grey. Oh, sorry no hugs...let's just all get along... lol...how naive is that! 6. So entertaining reading various people's responses to posts. Thank you! ![]() |

I would not approach the person directly - you never know if they are on their meds or not. I would speak to the person on duty at the rec center and let them handle it.

Why phone? Go inside the rec center and the Park and Rec attendant should take care of it.

The pool is an amenity for social pleasure. People who gather are there to chat and have fun. It is a pool, not a library. For peace & quiet stay home

Piped in music is ridiculous. They are telling me what yo listen yo. Just like Fox news on the squares. It's absurd.

I really like Led Zepplin. No, I would not play it at the pool ~ not without earbuds. |

Not all of us can afford to have "our own pool", wish we could, but even so we should not be subjected to others music if we use the public ones. Villages Radio is played at some pools which is fine. Otherwise go the the nearest center and tell them about the music. It is Rec's job to deal with problems. Our pool has had gamblers and drinkers there at 6pm+ Fortunately that was stopped. Sadly the villages is getting filled with more and more selfish people. Used to be so nice.....

You will find some folks think you should tell someone when something is displeasing and others who think you should not. There are many mini-geographic attitudes that are at play here. It appears to me that The Villages inc. tries NOT to tell people what to do. When someone says; "You should go directly to their door and tell them." I think....you're kiddin' right???
