They may do well. I’ve seen many outdoor kitchens in The Villages.

Unless it's a money laundering operation I give it 2 years.

We have a standard lanai with our begonia. . . Am interested in what they have for a very small outdoor kitchen, as something I didn't envision nor thought I could afford 4 years ago. . . . I have gas line at the rear of the house, though not in the lanai, didn't think to put a branch line into the lanai though

The villages is very large, and there are lots of lanais where where small outdoor kitchens can be installed. . .

would you rather buy an outdoor kitchen design from Home Depot/Lowes using contractors? or a specialty store with (I am assuming) company employees. . .

just curious. .

People in TV don't cook just look at the restaurants.

J/K high-end grills would be a niche market.
Plus this could’ve just been a website instead of prime reality.

I never understood why some people need an outdoor kitchen that is 20 feet from the indoor kitchen.

You all type like Rich Lerner when he was presented with the pitch concept of the Golf Channel by Arnold Palmer and a business partner. "Not happening, nobody is going to watch golf 24x7". . .

I stopped in. The price didn’t scare me, was willing to drop the money.

I dont think they will make it too long - their stuff is too big.

It would be great in a back yard, with plenty of room, but not the lanais and birdcages here.

My birdcage/lanai is almost 1200 sq ft, with pool. There’s not a great place to put it.
Sure, there will be some homes that their stuff will fit in, but not enough for a sustainable business.

Their products are great, look nice, etc.

If you install a grill in an area that has a roof over it like a Lani you will need to put a Vent Hood just like you do in your kitchen. They have to be vented through the roof. Just so you know.

The propane Weber grill that we bought from Lowel’s almost 8 years ago for about $400 does the trick for us just fine. Might have to replace a few parts down the road but that’s easy peasy. Grill on : )

I have had a Weber for about 12 years now. Replaced the "flavor bars" once and the burners once. Still going strong.

It's definitely a thing. I'm here to tell you that one of my friends has NOTHING but the coolest outdoor kitchen setup and without an explanation from a guy who is very humble, once I saw this outdoor setup I instantly got it. I don't think you would ever see me inside except to shower and use the bathroom. His kitchen is smoking and he is smoking something all the time on his barbeque equipment and I know this was high on his list. If the outdoor sink breaks he could do his dishes in the outdoor dishwasher, the indoor dishwasher, or in the pool.

I get it! It is a luxury but if I coulda I woulda had a similar setup!

No vent, in our house, venting outside. There is a microwave above the gas range sucking up fumes and blowing them in your face atop of the microwave. You can't cook things like fish ect frying. A grill outside with a cooker does the trick.
