Hey neighbor what part of the Island?

Spoke to John about that same move he said about $2500-$3500 depending on the size.

Garden City, what about you? Will Little John's come to LI and provide all of the moving supplies? Will the same people do the pick up and delivery? We checked with Verity, who was highly recommended. Their estimate for us was over $5,800.

THey are close to 5K (you need 2) for a typical home and you do the work at both ends for that $

I will be moving down June 2013...hoping to use a POD. Have been slowly downsizing for the past six months!

I think when you see what the pods cost as I said it's pricey.

Just a bit of trivia....PODs was invented by a Long Islander from Huntington, NY! He sold the company a year or two ago .... I believe.

East Meadow and Ronkonkoma. Did you know a long island group was started last spring? We expect to have regular meetings starting early 2013 Maybe a meeting or two before. I think we had 28 members.

ABSOLUTELY and without any reservation. We moved here from Queens in January but our mover is based on Long Island. They were fabulous! The estimate was fair and, in our case, the price we paid. Knowledgable, careful and wonderful to work with.

Phase III Movers 631-567-5511 I believe they are based out of Hauppauge. A word of advice...get rid of stuff! Don't pay to bring it down here just to come to the realization that you won't need it (fine china, crystal, etc.) or it won't fit in your house.

For what it is worth - We used Bekins when we moved to So. Fl. in 2005.

Must say - they were EXCELLENT !

Sorry - don't remember the pricing!

I used Phase III movers for my move from Stony Brook, NY to the Villages -- they were very professional, they were on time at both ends and reasonably priced. Use them with confidence.
