Dr. Maizel is a retina specialist. I trust him implicitly.

I second everything said in this post. Dr. Randolph's ofc # is 352-751-9999. Incidentally, I had seen two other docs before I fortunately found Dr. R.

My wife just had a vitrectomy that was performed by Dr. Matthew Cunningham who is with the Florida Retina Institute. Excellent surgeon, excellent care, efficient well run office and a practice that appears to care about their patients. I would highly recommend him. That said this practice has office throughout Central Florida and Dr. Cunningham as I assume all of the doctors in this practice rotate through all of their offices and he is only available on Tuesdays in Lady Lake.

Dr. Richard Hamilton
Center for Retina and Macular Disease
4636 Bellwether Lane
Oxford, FL 34484
The Villages- near Wallmart & Wedgewood Lane
Phone: (352) 751-9999

My husband had retina treatment up near Chicago for bleeding including shots. Our original doctor was from the Univ. of Chicago. When we were moving to The Villages we asked if our Dr. had a recommendation for anyone in Florida and he gave us this practice based on meeting doctors in conferences. My husband has seen Dr. Hamilton and was very satisfied with all treatment from the office and medical treatments. Very well qualified and competent. It has been a couple of years since my husband has needed any shots.
We would highly recommend Dr Hamilton........check out his credentials.

I have heard Dr. Kaushal speak on several occasions and he's the man I would trust to take care of any retina problem. Shalesh Kaushal, MDPHD 1400 N Us Highway 441 Ste 532, The Villages, FL 32159 - YP.com

His credentials are amazing! Not sure how difficult it is to get an appt., but....

Good luck!

I also used dr. Hamilton for an injection in one eye and surgery in the other eye. Everything worked out well with his work.
