Hi everyone. - We were looking at the homes on the villages website and saw a very nice home that backs up to a recreation trail. Can anyone tell me what these trails are used for. Our house in New York is on the market - Hope to be in the Villages by the end of the year. See you all soon.

the recreation trails are the "golf cart" path network for geting around TV that not on the courses.
They are used by golf carts, bikers, walkers, etc.
They are also referred to as multii modal recreation paths as they are NOT dedicated to golf carts.

The recreation trail north of 466 is more than a mile long, with a paved, multi-modal path down the middle. It's a nice way to move through several villages without encountering road traffic; walking, biking or golf carting. It's a very wide open area, but it's no accident that it is where it is. The trail is also the route of the area's major electric lines with their high steel towers. Many of those towers are located very close to adjoining residences. Some folks have concerns about living close to high tension lines. If you don't, you should at least be sure to see the whole view from the house you are interested in.
