How is it that they can put up a wall overnight and tear it down in a day or two but it takes them several months to put up a gate?

It's an insidious plot of some kind?

The Stonecrest POA put out a statement informing their residents that the new gate was being installed beginning today. Their comments expressed disappointment and frustration that they had been unable to come to some kind of agreement which would allow Stonecrest residents to get to and use the golf cart bridge to access shopping and entertainment.

I am only guessing, but I would suppose "they" went through the proper channels and protocol this time and dotted their "i's" and crossed their "t's" dr. boogie.

OMT ... What amenities are Stonecrest residents currently enjoying without paying? I think you must be kidding around. As I'm sure you know, anyone from outside The Villages is free to shop and listen to the entertainment in the Town Squares any time ... the Town Centers are not funded by our TV amenities.

I'm guessing that since their original building permit was for a wall, they most likely had to go back & re-submit for a new permit for the gate. That process always takes time.

If you read the original thread about the wall, you will read that they never got a permit for a wall. That was one of the problems.

Janet Tutt stated at the meeting in Lady Lake that she did not know who ordered the wall be erected in the middle of the night. She knew it was erected for the safety of the residents, but not who ordered it. That doesn't say much for her managerial skills.

If TV residents don't think the residents of Stonecrest are upset, they should read the comments at the end of the article in the on-line Villages News.
