ME ME ME ME! It's all about ME. Therein lies the problem. Did you think that just MAYBE it might affect someone else you don't know?

I'm with you, Ed. Sadly, too many just don't or won't acknowledge what is going on because they don't give a snit about anyone but themselves. Remember Marie Antoinette when she was told the peasants were starving she answered with "let them eat cake". Same mentality.

I hope you remain safe because if you don't and get taken to a hospital you will tie up dedicated health staff who really are needed by the people who tried to avoid this disease and weren't able to because people like you didn't take precautions.

I was on a guided missile destroyer escort and we searched for the Scorpion in the Cape Hatteras area; have never seen rougher seas.

Say what you want but during a fire fight the sweetest sound is a plane flying in spraying a bunch of ammo to let the guys make their way out. Yep they were blessing that plane then lol. Not the same. I admire you guys who can go down in the subs for months with nowhere to go. That must really drive you stir crazy.
Yep.. Loved it when an A-10 came around to do its thing..

A former bud of mine was a chopper pilot in Nam, he got his DFC, when he cleared out a LZ, saved a bunch of grunts-we did what we did

I dread to think about what it would be like for a crew to run out of soap and deodorant as well as toilet paper on a submarine! I hope your sub had plenty such necessary items stored onboard.

I remember during a river cruise from Moscow to St. Petersburg touring an old USSR Foxtrot class decommissioned submarine turned into a museum located at the edge of Lake Vytegra which we crossed. The sailors slept on bunks among the torpedoes. I only saw one toilet although there may have been others. I bought a souvenir mug which has "Podvodnaya Lodkae B-440 (in Russian) on it.

If you are a Sam's Club member, you can upgrade your membership to plus, and don't have to pay the yearly fee. You can pro rate to whatever your membership is. Free shipping. Don't wait til the last minute..delivery has been about 2 wks, BUT, 1st order I was able to buy a 12 pack of the large kleenex. I haven't been able to get TP since this whole mess started (BUT, I'm not a morning person, and we already had plenty anyway). This kleenex could quite possibly turn out to be 50/50, tp and kleenex. I'm LOVING ordering online and having it shipped (can't seem to get a pick up appointment with Walmart or Sam's Club). Can't order perishables, TP, clorox wipes and paper towels aren't often available, but other things work, and you don't have to go out!
