We just closed on our home in The Villages (Fernandina) and need to get our propane tank that is buried filled for the first time. Has anyone recently had this done and by whom?

Just had our tank filled in our new home in Fernandina by Heritage Propane. The tech arrived at the designated time and was very helpful in explaining the gauges and shutoff valves.
We had bought a 60 lb tank through the builder, but the tech advises they installed a 100 lb. Cost to top up was just over $200. |

We used Suburban Propane 352-748-2101. It was $400 to fill our tank for our spa. Very professional and we were pleased.

Congratulations on your new home. We know TV stopped using natural gas years ago probably because they could eliminate the infrastructure cost of underground piping. Do all homes in Fernandina now have propane or is it just an option when you build? Is that used for heating the pool?

We used suburban, very happy with service. ~$400 first fill to power spa/pool. I've checked into running a line to summer kitchen and fire pit....all easy to do.

Same question, Why do you have propane? and not natural gas? What appliances in your home use propane? I thought TV had natural gas?

Take it to Ace hardware in the 466 shopping center . They do a great job and only bill you for what they put in your tank. Not an exchange but very fast.

Propane put in by Suburban. I think it was around $450? for pool, summer kitchen grill, and gas stove in kitchen.
