It depends on which week. Snowbirders will be returning, starting in a couple of weeks. Anything that -would- be available, might already be spoken for so late in the game. You should definitely check on hotels in the area.

you did not way what week? I would tell your friends to cancel the lifestyle and rent a 3/2 home with you? You will have fun!

You might want to rent or borrow a golf cart for a day or too to see if you like that option.
If you can I would try and rent where you think you want to buy for a couple of months.
Remember this is your home and not a vacation spot so pay attention to shopping, dr's etc.

Was there in Feb just for a day and hung out with my sister's friends that live there, and they showed us around. Bottom line is if we move there we plan on renting for a year for sure. Plus who know what this country's is in for after Nov 5. Thanks for the info.

Years ago my Realtor got us a discount at the hotel in lake Sumter. I think if you have family here they can get you a discount at that hotel.
