I would like to replace the carpet that the builder installed in the two bedrooms with the same vinyl plank the buider installed for the rest of house before my new furniture scheduled to be delivered on 09/25/24.

Has any one done this before ? Can someone recommend a flooring guy ?

This way it was done before furniture. Then I put felt pads that I got at Walmart on all the furniture legs. I love it and don't find them cold at all. I use the non-slip pads under my rugs.
Thx. This is exactly what I m going to.

Apply The Villages 5x Rule. Take what you think is a reasonable time and cost to complete the project and multiple it by 5!

I realized that this does not address your question. However, I just put LVP in my entire basement (up north). That included ripping up the existing carpet. It's very easy to install and looks beautiful. If you're somewhat of a DIY, it's not overly challenging at all. Another option (if you're trying to save some $$) is to order all the flooring (measure SF and order 10% more). Then hire a good handyman. I'm not a "flooring guy" and have no specific flooring skills and had no problem with this project. As a reference, the whole job took a l-o-n-g day. Call it a day and a half. Using my labor, I saved about 70% over the quotes I got from a professional flooring outfit.

We bought our house last year. We replaced the bedroom carpet with vinyl plank flooring that we bought in and had it picked up at the Lowes in Wildwood. We also had the house painted at that time. We used a painter and flooring person in the Villages. I think this is the name of the person that did the floors, but you would have to call and find out. It is JES Home Improvement (Rick is his name) and he was very good. The number is 502-649-7434. Hope it helps. PS- I love the vinyl plank flooring!!
