Thumbs up Retired and happy

Hi,

My husband and I just moved to the villages. We absolutely love living here!
We are originally from Birmingham, Michigan. I have used this website to find someone to install our gutters and I will let you know the results next week. Right now I need recommendations on what type of steam cleaner to purchase to clean all of the tile in our home. We have tile in every single room of our house and so we need something that has a proven track record. I truly appreciate this forum and am looking forward to your recommendations.

I have a Shark steam cleaner that I use all the time. It does a very good job and dries so quickly. The cloths are washable and I have had my unit for 2 years and am just now getting ready to reorder them... Good luck with whatever you decide!

Default Shark Steamer

We also have been using a Shark steamer for the past couple of years and the results have been great. When you purchase the unit, you may also want to purchase a second large square pad to switch off with when you clean.
Good luck.

to the TOTV forum. Looks like it's 2 for 2 on the Sharks.

Default tile cleaner

Many many like Shark Steam cleaners for tile. My preference is for the Hoover Hard Floor Cleaner. Yep I know it is not technically a steam cleaner. I have used both cleaners. Yes the Shark is a true steam cleaner and that is a plus.

I prefer the Hoover because...it also sucks up the the little bits of stuff on the floor so there is not need to vacuum and clean...it is all in one motion (it has a vacuum mode on it but is not needed bacause the wash setting also sucks up) and the water gets sucked up into the tank....I LOVE emptying the dirty water and all the little bits of dirt and food crumbs etc....esp when I thought my floor was already clean and probably did not need to be cleaned that much!!!! The water can be put as hot as you like it but truly it is not an actual steam cleaner.

With the Shark you either have to vacuum or sweep first to get the little bits of stuff up before you use it. ... it has no sucking up setting!
