I returned my cart to the store once after unloading in my car and forgot where I parked my car.

I return to the cart coral or the front of the store whichever is closest. If I see a cart left in a space close to my car, I take that one inside with me to shop.

Unless someone is disabled in some way or trying to wrangle 3 toddlers safely inside of their car seats, I think it's pretty rude and careless to leave your cart sitting in the middle of a parking lot, even if it is within a parking space.

You walk to the entrance of the store from the handicap parking space, grab a cart, walk all through the store doing your shopping, walk back to your vehicle, but can't walk the additional 20 or 30 feet to put the cart where it belongs?????

If you can do it then return your Cart to the proper place. That is just being a quality person. If you knock something off a rack or shelf and nobody is around, pick it up. By our age you either already have these qualities installed into your self or you don't. Nobody is going to teach anybody anything now.

the first time I shopped at an Aldis I did not know about the 25 cent "deposit". I parked my car next to a lady with 3 kids and offered to take her cart off her hands, thinking I was being gallant. She looked at me funny, thought it over for a few seconds, shrugged her shoulders and handed me the cart. Her reaction seemed peculiar to me. Then, when I got done shopping and returned the cart to the carousel, it took me awhile to figure out the deal. When I did and got "my" quarter back it dawned on me why the lady with the kids was looking at me funny. She must have thought I was a pretty hard-up case to have to scrounge for quarters that way.

Quite a few people will just hand off the cart to someone about to go into the store and just say pay it forward.

I have already taken a cart from a parking space in the store with me.

Cheers!
Another conspiracy to eliminate someone's source of employment. Next thing they will come up with is a way to get you to check yourself out, bag your own groceries, and bring your own bags.

There's article out there where Walmart future stores will be nothing
but a warehouse doing what was posted above. ^^^^^
