Looking at ways to keep some of the rain out of the lanai...found a dealer with a screen of 1% open air...does anyone else have?
Just wanted some opinions. Thank you. |

We have rollup shades, but these were mounted inside the lanai, I would be concerned about mounting outside as the mechanism would subjected to weather, and if these will be manual operation you will need to go outside to adjust. You will also need to consider wind and these blowing around. If you are having problems with water accumulating let me know I installed flat aluminum shims (1/16 inch thick) under the aluminum frame to provide drainage, works great.

Personally I would not put shades on the outside of the lanai.

It just occurred to me that OUTSIDE the lanai will probably require ARC approval also.
