Like the new Villages App on my iPhone, but would like to have the movie schedules on their website. If you haven't tried the app you might like it!

We went there. This has not been since Fall of 2005 though. The Old Mill Playhouse opened in late 2005 as that is where the writer of Leisureville, Andrew D. Blechman, saw King Kong.

Our move was from Palm Harbor in June 2005. I did miss the Oldsmar Theater https://www.amctheatres.com/movie-th...ands-square-20 for a few months until the Old Mill Playhouse opened.

Some of the movies in 2005 were quite crowded at the Rialto. 2005 Movies • Released in 2005

I remember seeing The Exorcism of Emily Rose at the Old Mill Playhouse in September of 2005 and I was the only person in Auditorium One. Kind of a frightening experience.

The Greatest Game Ever Played did a lot better at the Old Mill Playhouse as it is about golf in the 1910s. There were pretty good lines for that one.

No, there were areas being developed in 2004 that were closer to the Old Mill Playhouse. We still had the buffalo in their field near Lake Sumter Landing.

I didn't say that I wouldn't go to the Rialto if they have something I really want to see. I was just agreeing with the OP that it would be nice if the south end got some of those movies.....closer for our South end convenience. Just as I would love it if Lowes or Home Depot would put one on the south end for convenience. I do appreciate all the choices we have, but I was just responding to the thread with my opinion.

The movies here are a bargain. Took my 7-year-old granddaughter to see a movie in Virginia. $10 admission for each of us and small popcorn was $6.
