That's the only thing that makes sense.

WHERE did you hear that speed bumps were being considered here, OP?
So, Gracie, you are saying that our roundabouts are an "organic" experience?!

I HATE speed bumps anywhere but especially on golf cart paths.

Impossible!

As long as there are two lanes around each circle,
there is no way to control that.
Trying to do so would probably cause more accidents and confusion
than there already is.

There's another thing that makes sense . . .
that would be taking out the blasted circles altogether!

But, Alas!
Then we wouldn't have anything to talk about.

The worst thing about speed bumps is that they kill your car!

Raleigh did something similar with a much smaller circle. It looks a bit crazy from above, and works because there is substantial signage before the circle to make sure you are in the correct lane.
The Villages Florida
The hilton Head gets my vote. That would be wonderfull.

If two lanes are good Why not adding lane to make it three lanes. Right lane Right turn only, center lane for next turn going straight and left lane for going to the 3rd or 4th turn. course once you pass lane in the roundabout that lane becomes the right line. IMO that's the problem at couple spots too much traffic and not enough roundabout.

What people don't realize about one-lane roundabouts is that roundabouts in The Villages have such a tight radius, large trucks, such as tractor trailers, moving vans and other long vehicles will not be able to navigate them without their rear wheels jumping the inside curb. The inside lane gives them the space they need when the cab is in the outer lane.
