Reminds me of the old joke
Why couldn't Helen Keller drive? She was a woman. |

Clearly there is no rudeness here when the renters are gone. News flash - when the population was under 30000 the rudeness factor was at a minimum. Everyone knew they were going to see the same old faces tomorrow. As one very old timer said to me one evening "now the knuckleheads have a place to hide".

I was already a little peeved at the Lynnhaven Postal Center contractors for stuffing a large flat package addressed to my Dad from the Veteran's of Foreign Wars which had a "Do not fold" sticker on it. I could barely get it out of the mail box and it was pretty ripped up when I got it out.
I did keep my cool though and only gave the parking spot pig a dirty look while she was walking away. I hope that the lady in the van to the right of the parking space she forced he way into pointed out how unsafe her using her car as a bumper against a man and his dog is. I would have had her for assault with a dangerous weapon if she had touched me with her car or God forbid struck my dog because of her rush to get her mail. |

I am sorry Tal. It makes me feel bad to read this because you are always a gentleman and a good person.
I think it is what everyone else so nicely said.

Okay - let's be real!
This is still a very friendly place. However, with over 100,000 people it is inevitable that some will be nasty, rude etc. This is not Utopia. And I don't believe that it is all the snowbirds fault! (I am a permanent resident). And, yes, even some New Yorkers can be slightly rude on occasion. Very rare but possible. ![]()

Thankfully, I usually just take the golf cart to the postal center and would not have had this kind of problem as it is easy to get in and out of it with a small dog in your arms. Not so much a small car with a dog seat. |

I can't see where you did anything wrong, Tal. That was my point and I was not clear. You are always fair and a gentleman.

We are seeing a LOT of rudeness, insensitive behavior and acts of entitlement. We were once renters & are now snowbirds but our status here had/has no bearing on how we treat people. Today a lady had partially pulled out of the Sandhill parking area & stopped with her golf carts front wheels on the golf path.....she was putting her golf "stuff" away. DUH. This is right on the curve after crossing St Charles. Went around her but would have had to stop if a cart was coming the other way. Has nothing to do with my being impatient.....has to do with safety and consideration.
