I gotta go golf. I signed up last night to play with three woman. This ought to be fun. They're probably snowbirds from New Jersey who take 4 hours to play 9 holes. [insert winking emoticon wearing a golf hat and swinging a club that misses the ball]

Gray hair does not mean Northerner.
Rudeness, impatience & always in a hurry knows no boundaries.
We have a lot more people here this time of the year so some of these things become more noticeable.
Slow down, take a deep breath and enjoy life. :D

Bonny, Your post should have ended this thread. Well said! There is nothing else to add.

You don't carry when you are @ a bar unless you want to go directly to jail--without passing go-its a big no no

Angry People

I think the OP was venting some frustration at the lack of consideration by a group which may or may not be true. As I understand it we are now a serious "Vacation Location" and how many of you have gone on vacation with the attitude you paid for the room, etc. and are entitled? I believe there is a lot of this here. Many don't know how to use the circles when driving and their confusion leads to those who know getting upset. Then we have the natural angry person and the villager's are not all "happy people". A very good illustration of this are the posters to the OP's complaint and are the ones who try use it as an excuse to voice wise cracks, awful humor, and just being rude. Doing this is a fact that the persons are angry and release this anger through attempts at putting someone down. What is ironic is that the person is part of the rude being discussed and my bet is most are year around residents as are we. Net: We should respect the person who was upset and if we disagree be respectful in responding and not demonstrating the same attitude and negative behavior as being challenged. Of course there are "snowbirds" who are angry as there are villager's. I believe it is safe to say that "wise cracks" and poor humor is just another form of anger. :cold:

You may very well be right, in some cases. But then the question becomes WHO decides what is rude, WHO decides what is poor or awful humor, and WHO has the psychic ability to ascribe intent?

Well I will say this. I don't like folks with an absence of a funny bone. I like them to be witty and disarming. AND I will also point out that there are thousands of stand up comics out of work.

And many post on here.

There are thousands of things to do in TV. Many golf, play softball or pickleball. Some dance in the squares, go to art class, go on nature hikes. Most eat out often, many drink (a lot). Then there are those that occupy their time by complaining:1rotfl::1rotfl: (I so hope that wasn't awful humor or worse yet "rude", and by which standard?)

perrjojo 01-08-2016 10:04 AM

"THEY" always seem to cause the problems. I just wish I could determine who "THEY" are.
