Hello, just ran the dishwashers...now my dishes and silverware are cloudy. What do you folks suggest?

A different kind of dishwasher detergent?

Some of that may be to the water here, although the water is OK it is like most of the water in Florida. Very alkali due to the soil being heavily laced with Limestone.
I also find it makes my coffee taste strange. A filter will help.

if you are using the pellet type detergent make sue they are not haedened. Which they can sometimes do if exposed to air.

The pellets are usually soft and spongy. We had a similar problem and then discovered we had a bad batch of detergent.

I had to switch from dry dishwashing detergent to gel and also use Jet Dry and this combination leaves the dishes sparkling!

The problem began when the government banned the additive potash from detergent. Purchase LEMISHINE and add it to your detergent, problem solved.

Run the hot water at the sink til it comes out hot and then add vinegar to the empty dishwasher soap container and run the cycle with the dishwasher empty. Do this periodically.

We just replaced our dishwasher (10 years old). All my glasses were cloudy. We hoped the new dishwasher would fix the problem - nope... not until I doubled the amount of dishwasher pellets from one to two. Now, no issues at all. I think it's the water...

I had the same problem. Switched dish detergent several times. Then I thought it must be our dishwasher. We had the repair man in and he said dishwasher was fine, and that we needed to use finish quantum. Since then our dishes and silverware come out spotless. We have even given neighbors samples, and they have had the same result.

We installed a water softener and whole house filter, now we use Cascade, and no jet dry, and we have sparkling crystal ware. Oh yes, and really good tasting water.
