Many TOTVers get autographes from Nancy Lopez yesterday? She sure is a classy celebrity.

Here is some information about Ms. Lopez's charity-- http://www.aimforthehandicapped.org/

TAL~! She is the most amazing person...aren't we so lucky to have her here!
We went to the dinner on Thursday night at Legacy....had our picture taken with her...(will post when I pick it up), we got to talk to her extensively...amazing. Sue even asked her a few questions about her course...like what were you thinking when you designed this hole...they talked for about five minutes...then we talked about how every year my daughter takes a "can" home to fill with change...this year she had it completely filled! So when we go there in the afternoon...Nancy made a HUGE deal about her....acted as if they had known each other for years!! It was the cutest thing! Then Nancy told Cat that she had a golfers body and should start playing....which of course I have been saying for years! So Nancy gave us the name of a coach here in the area and said...tell him Nancy sent you....and told Cat that if she took lessons from this guy....she would take her personally onto Lopez course and play with her in a couple of months!!!

She is a REAL person and I love her! You can not get any better than that!!

PS....we also met her daughter Ashley....she is the same way!

When my girls were in high school and the oldest was working at the local McDonalds here in Cincinnati (back when it was "cool" for a teenager to work at McDonalds) Nancy Lopez would stop by and grab a sandwich and our daughter said the same Cassie, that she was warm and friendly and very engaging. She lived in a northern suburb of Cincinnati while her husband played for the Reds.

I have always loved her. She is a truly nice person and a great golfer.

I went yesterday and I have to agree with the others here- she seemed like a genuine, nice, down to earth person. I was impressed- even though she didn't know me from Adam, she was sweet and engaging.
