Default Scrapple in the Villages

Okay I thought I'd post a "fun" topic. Is there any place in or near the Villages where scrapple can be purchased? I know of a market near the gulf coast where I can buy it but I'm looking for someplace closer. lol

Mom and Pop store with full line of beef, pork and poultry, plus gator, rabbit, frog legs, etc. Meats cut to order..very nice, friendly, well-informed folks, Joe and wife Charlie Bonaccorso.
I'm excited to find a lower price on most meats and frozen fish, and especially that I can feed my pets real food for less. Meats also available in bulk, as well as frozen vegetables.

Located just S of 466A on east side of 301, Wildwood, (330 S. Main).
Phone 352-748-2355. Open M-Sat 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Ya'll go get yourself something to cook, and don't forget something yummy for Fido and Fifi.

But there is no place to buy Goetta. A similar but I think superior product from Cincinnati, Ohio.

You can't freeze scrapple it gets all grainy and yucky. I tried when I bought a huge block at BJs and tried to freeze smaller packages for future use. Freezing ruined it. Are you sure it isn't just in a cold case with the rest of the breakfast meats like bacon and sausage. I sure hope you are mistaken!

I am sure you mean tastykake products. No my wife might though. What I would want is a good soft pretzel. Maybe they will build a Wawa in the Villages. There's one in Orlando and in Lake Buena Vista so maybe next the Villages and bring in REAL soft pretzels not the ones you get in Florida now LOL

I got it there but can't remember exactly where it was. Definitely in the frozen food section. Not nearly as good as Nell's back home near Lancaster Pa but it was scrapple at least. It has to be all eaten in 1 week after thawed and that was a problem for the 2 of us.
I brought a lot back down from Gettysburg Pa in May and sliced and froze it. Yum! (with King Syrup and toast of course!)
Think we will have some tomorrow for breakfast!

Ours from Pa is fine when frozen.
I have frozen and eaten it for many years.
The stuff from Publix was not grainy but not as good as the stuff from Pa.
