Nursing/Rehabs have social work positions, Assisted Livings do not. Assisted Livings have an Executive Director; Activity/Life Enrichment Director; Director of Memory Care; Director of Nursing; Sales and Marketing Director; Director of Dining; Director of Resident Care-all or some combination of these, but not a social worker position. Very helpful! However having come from the industry as well, I believe that in some states, depending on the amount of physical care the AL can give, they require either a medical SW or RN to do the intake and discharge planning along side the Dir of Marketing.
There are some states that allow an AL to have almost SNF care levels.
