I have a lot of old stuff I'd like to sell. I have records, still in their paper "casings" from the 30's, 40's and 50's. Big bands, The Andrew Sisters, stuff like that.

I have old wooden golf clubs, not just wooden heads, but wooden shafts. I have an era 40's golf bag with a greens fee tag for $3.50 from Reston North Golf Course. (still in biz btw)

I also have much more, dolls, furniture and the list goes on. Anyone know how and/or where to sell this "stuff"?

You do not say how much WORK you are willing to do. Perhaps, to get the most money-it requires the most work-would be ebay.
Today, you will need to collect tax for the state you ship to. Collecting tax and not paying it to the state is a crime and can result in fines, jail etc etc etc.

You can find a dealer and they will give you around half of what. you've read the stuff is worth and they will cherry pick only the items they feel they can sell.

You can hold a garage sale. Some people are an awful pain in the neck to deal with.

You can list it for sale on talk of the villages.

but often we think stuff is worth more than people will pay....I've seen some items similar to what I was putting up with prices way, way over what the market is willing to pay and they're still sitting there

Your treasurers, unfortunately, are not worth much in this local market. When I moved here a year ago, I hired a mother/daughter team who run an estate sale business to help me unpack and put away all my treasures. I have some nice antiques, oriental carpets, art, etc. I joked and told them they can come back and sell my stuff after I die. I asked (proudly) what they thought was most desired by the local market; they looked around, and said 'your new patio furniture'. I was crushed, but realized that many Villagers have same stuff that goes for sale after they die. If you want any money from your goodies, be prepared to sell online. There is a Villages Enrichment class that teaches you how to sell on eBay.

You might want to try an online auction service. There's a ton of them around here. I used them a lot before we moved here: the one I used (buy and sell), charged the seller a small listing fee plus 12% of whatever the item sold for. Buyers paid a 15% "buyer's premium". They buy and sell pretty much everything, I've seen items as diverse as LIFE magazines from the WW II era, bear traps, glassware, old records and record players, old radios, etc. There are people who make good money buying and selling on these sites so if you have some valuable antiques there's a good bet that someone knowledgeable will see it and try to buy it.

It can be a crapshoot though. I've sold stuff at our online auction in Minnesota that brought in a lot less than I thought it would. On the other hand though it can work the other way: I sold one of those old home telephone systems (base unit w/recorder plus two extension units) for approximately the same price that I bought it for, after using it for well over 5 years. Another example: when we moved I sold a Wen 12" drill press that I bought new on Amazon, and after using it for a number of years it sold for nearly $100 MORE than I paid for it.

Not much of a market for big band 78's. Jazz and blues are what collectors are looking for.

True. Before we moved down here I had a bunch of vinyl, hundreds of pounds as those are heavy. I sold everything from the 50's through the 70's very easily but could not get rid of the 78's so I gave them away just to get rid of them. I kept my small collectibles like postcards, old tin friction cars, stamps, WW1 letters, American Indian jewelry, coins, etc. I still like getting them out once in awhile to look at them.
