Post Shoreline Eroding On Land Under Bridge

Residents of CDD's five through ten may be asked to bear the costs of shoring up the land adjacent to the Morse Blvd bridge leading into Lake Sumter Landing.

That is a county road. Why would that not come from tax revenue ??

It's the land under the bridge that is eroding, not the bridge itself which is owned by the county. The land is owned by the district.

A County bridge built on land that isn't owned by the County.
I guess we all better start saving up.
I wonder how much each household will be "assessed".

where will the list of deficiencies in this place end?: bad siding installation, bad roof shingles, no sinkhole exploration, bad street intersection design, continued use of too-small traffic circles, crappy golf courses. what did I miss?

Been there. Done that. New seawall will only run about $250 to $300 per linear foot. Not a huge expense. The use of riprap may also stop the erosion and that is cheap cheap.

I can fix the problem with wine corks. Lets pop some corks so that I can collect them and get this done. No fees to residents. Not to worry

We find that living in The Villages is Paradise, not Utopia. Please enjoy what you have. Nowhere this side of Heaven is perfect. For us, the glass is 1/2 full (more than).
