We have a new Ranch that comes with a 1 yr bumper to bumper warranty. We have gone through it pretty good and the villages has been great about fixing anything (everything very minor) . We still have 6 months before our 1 yr is up but I'm trying to decide if its worth hiring a professional to inspect the house before the year is up? I think it cost about $ 2xx dollars I think the house is in real good condition any opinions on if it worth the extra expense or not and perhaps even the kinds of things they might find that I haven't found. Also any recommendation on who to hire if the recommendation is to get it done by a professional.

We hired an professional inspector before our closing and we will hire him again right before the year warranty is up. He's really thorough. I will pm you his phone number. We were really pleased and found every little tiny crack imaginable. I believe his cost was just around $200.

dadspet,
I agree with Chel. The more you are aware of the better you are. This way if there is a problem, it can get fixed before it becomes a major problem. HB |

I recommend it. It is worth the cost $200.00 or less. It get the warranty department on the ball. We had ours inspected just before the warranty expired. Turned the list into the warranty department in the morning, we were getting appointment calls that afternoon. I only wish that we had pulled the carpet up in a few places to check for cracks in the floor.
When I replaced our carpet with wood laminate, I found some large cracks in the floor and had to repair them before laying the flooring. |
