Its mainly for future pedestrian use as business fill up the lots and for safety as well.

If you do not drive, sidewalks make it safer to get to stores. If youuse a wheelchair you have more freedom to get to where you want to go.

Why some sidewalks that are completed ,are not open for use, is a mystery to me.

I think sidewalks should be put in.

I agree those sidewalks are important to some people, but walking to the retail stores from the residential areas in 97 degree weather, they wouldn't be crowded for sure.
