yes, & like the thread, you can smell it a mile away
this whole 'mess' could be cleared up over respect for your neighbors. meet them- you will probably like them, & avoid doing unwanted damage to their property. it could work!

You know, they study sewage to see the level of covid. Wouldn't it be great to have a thread that encompasses both topics; dog poop and covid.

If the The Villages had sidewalks would it be as bad to sometimes have to clean up poop on the grass between the sidewalks and the roadway? Rather than a neighbors lawn.
This is a 'springboard' for discussion. Thank you. Marvinh
What people fail to understand is that dog walks produces the dog’s urge to pee and poop. That being said, I do not permit my dog to do either on other people’s lawns. Mine will poop on the street, something I did not teach her intentionally, but, because she knows that I won’t allow her on other’s lawns she has developed an alternative. I always clean up after her. It really annoys me when I find that a dog has gone on my lawn. And, BTW, my dog does her business in my yard AND on walks.

I might point out that dog owners prefer courtyard villas because of their dogs, so you may want to avoid purchasing one. This is a great place to live and I hope that you will find the perfect home for you. The Villages will likely never install sidewalks.

Hi, Marvinh. Simply put, the narrow streets and lack of sidewalks means more houses can be built on the available land. Less cost spent on building roads and sidewalks which provide no profit means more homes that can be built which will provide a profit.

As for the dog poop , that has little to nothing to do with sidewalks. The dog poop issue has everything to do with the respect, or lack of respect that some dog owners have for their neighbors.

This is a wonderful place to live, but like anywhere else, not 100% perfect. Come on down. I think you will be glad you did.

So, who mows, waters, and feeds the grass between the sidewalk and the street? The homeowner, that's who. Why would the homeowner be any happier about poop on that part of the lawn, than he/she is now?

Better?

I know old people fall asleep easily lol 😆

Just expanded urban legends. And yes some people just like to hear themselves talk.

You will only see sidewalks in a community that has children or in an old "neighborhood" such as where you probably grew up!
