I see you posted your message two days ago. Where did you hear of this man? If you got his information through a referral then possibly you could contact that person. If you have not heard back from these people you need to call the police.

I do hope everything is OK. Please post an update.
Hi Julie - they came highly recommended. He contracts out for the large Moving Companies & he had just finished moving the VP of one of the Universities here in town. So many of my friends said they same as you did, but nothing was taken or removed. I checked . . .

I think he bid the job too low and wasn't able to tell me. Once he realized, they were out of here like the Pied Piper. Single file out the door - left the boxes behind! He finally had someone call me (after I left 3 messages on his cell phone) and claimed to have an emergency early in the morning. Well he was here at 9:15 AM and I wasn't aware of any emergency. At any rate, in my last message to him, I told him if he didn't want to speak with me in person, that I would be out for a little while and he could just leave me a message. That's when he had a woman call (I think it was his wife). I was told he would be tied up with the emergency for the next several days and he suggested I have someone else move me. I really believe he just cut his loses and took off. Not professional at all . . .this move is not going easy for me at all. Having some other problems with the closing date as well (from the buyer's lender) and I am really stressed.

I had someone out yestereday afternoon and will have an answer on Monday.
Keep your fingers crossed for me. If I made a lot of spelling or grammer mistakes, please forgive me. I am exhausted and still not done. Now that I have sat down, I won't be able to do anything else tonight.

Betty

Oh Betty it sounds as if you've been through heck and back. My only wish is that you were closer to me and I'd at least help you with your packing. Hopefully your next person will be more professional and come through.

Yes, lenders are incredibly fussy right now. They seem to have swung the pendulum completely to the other side of lending. One of these days, months, years they are going to have to bring it somewhere in the middle.

Your stress is understandable. Just remember to keep that visual of TV at the forefront and it should help to ease your worries. This time next year you'll be in your new home and your biggest stress will come from trying to find time on your calendar to fit all the fun activities into your schedule.

P.S. Your grammar looked fine to me. Let me qualify that with I'm definitely not an English major.
