Default SkyCaddie SG4

I have a SkyCaddie SG4 that I purchased in December 07. It has to go back to the factory for the second time to have the rubber cover over the joystick/cursor mover/course selector, whatever you want to call it replaced. The rubber cover over the joystick is to protect the unit from moisture instrusion. I talked to their customer service and said that I felt that replacing this every three months was not satisfactory durability. They said send it back again and it will be repaired and returned within two to three weeks. I asked if their engineering types had investigated a more durable material for this cover and she didn't know. I purchased the extended warranty and asked what happened when the one year was up and she said we will charge for any repairs after that. So if you buy the SG3 or SG4 beware! The newer SG5 uses a different method to move the cursor so you will not have this problem, but you will also spend about $450 for this unit.
