Sorry, but I look at it a different way: I have 15, maybe 20 good years left, so I can either: A) enjoy golf, shows, concerts, movies, games, etc., or.... B) Sit behind some bozo going 14 mph on a MMP or driving 30 in the left lane of 466A or 60 in the left lane of I-75 I choose A, but everyone is free to choose for themselves. (just don't do it in front of me:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:) |

My mantra, whether in a car or a cart is "Fast in front, slow in back", which serves to remind me that the world is full of people who are, amazingly, different from me. In a car, if possible, I'm a 7mph over the speed limit guy. Which means I have to pass some folks, but also there are a lot of folks who want to pass me.
A similar dynamic exists when I am in my golf cart. So....it's not too tough really....let the faster people around me, and they are in front of me and no longer a problem for me, and pass the slower people. Judging the character of people based upon the fact that they want to drive a few miles an hour slower or faster than I drive seems like a waste of my mental energy. "Fast in front, slow in back"....works for me. |

Bumper sticker
I was recently following a golf cart that had a bumper sticker that may apply here.
I may be a little off but close. “I am not part of your Hurry!” I like that thought. |

If that's the case, pull over and get out of the way. You never know why someone is "in a hurry"---medical emergency, potty emergency, late to give the eulogy at a funeral for another cart speeder, etc. |

I have passed many golf carts and have been passed by golf carts. Not once have I said anything to them or have any of them said anything to me. No one giving the finger or yelling obscenities. You pass a slower cart, or a faster cart passes you, no big deal. It’s no different than when I’m on the road in my car and I pass someone, or someone passes me, there are no reactions, no fingers, no obscenities. Do these people really exist, or is this another Villages urban myth...

Actually, when I'm going 20mph legal maximum speed and get passed, I wonder what gives this special individual the right to operate an unregistered motor vehicle on our roads? No need to pass anyone going 20mph ever.
