The post office service informed delivery sends an email daily with pictures of each piece of mail.

Agree. We also tape a note inside our TV mailbox the day before we leave saying to forward all the mail. I create a triangle so it sits up and tape it to the bottom of the mailbox. (As a former mailman when I went to college, my title "Temporary Indefinite Substitute Carrier", I can tell you it does not hurt to have a backup, especially when a sub mailman is there for a day or week.
