Bring a disinfectant wipe into the store with you. Use it to moisten your fingers. Makes opening the plastic bags a breeze

The better way is to get away from plastic: it’s ugly and killing all life forms including humans.
Do you really need that many bags?
It’s thoughtless and lazy not to opt out when.
While we commend Florida for being pioneers and one of the few states to enact regulations, it’s nowhere near enough.

Did you say something to the employee? I would have pointed out what she did was not a safe practice. I would have also let the employee know that rubbing the plastic bag together with both hands will release the plastic and made it very easy to open it. I do that all the time in the grocery store with those darn plastic produce bags. Works every time.

I have and will do again, ask a server to raise up her mask when serving hubby and myself.

Fabulous video. Thank you. I find that friction between my fingers or hands works just as well.

I don't think you get the point the original poster made. The employee LICKED HER FINGERS to open the bag. The employee put saliva on her fingers then proceeded to touch the customer's purchases and the bag she was placing the purchases in to.

That would skeeve me out during normal times.

You can not be serious with this statement. Stay away from me if you think this behavior is OK with you.

Another comical mask post. Just stay home where you're all snug and secure and let the rest of us go on with normal life.

This discussion NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MASK. It has everything to do with proper hygiene. We are supposed to wash our hands frequently, especially those who deal with the public. What about licking the fingers don't you understand that is a breach of personal hygiene and safety to the people this employee was serving?

Amen to that. I refuse to live my life in fear. I wear the stupid thing when in public out of courtesy to others, but relish the day that this paranoia is behind us. I traveled internationally alot in my career. The first thing I did when I got on an airplane was wipe down the armrests and serving tray with an antiseptic wipe. I do the same at a grocery store on a cart and then use the wipe to clean my own phone and keys. Germs and viruses are everywhere. Just use some common sense and put the koolaide drinking behind us.

Again.......the OP comments have nothing to do with the mask itself.
