Default Someone please play a 'round' for me?

OK, It's 34 degrees and raining cats and dogs here in MA.

Will someone at least mention my name in their foursome when they play golf today in TV? Maybe my mind will somehow drift away from these winter blahs and start to fantasize about the day i can actually play golf in the winter.

Hit em straight - Russ

Hey, Russ. We're certainly not at your level, but we are playing an exec course this afternoon. I will certainly thing of you and all the other wanna-be winter golfers. But I will not think that in 2 weeks we need to go home again!

Sorry no golf today--that is unless we find time to go to one of the Executive Courses after 5 when no tee time is needed. On the schedule today is a poker run. Temerature will be in the 80's so will be just right for traveling around TV in the golf cart. Will be thinking of you. I want to go by Urban Flats and find out if there is anything good on their menu. Got something a couple months ago and it was dry and tasteless. We have friends coming from Ohio and think they will like the patio there. Want to see what to order to eat.

Hope - I like the patio at Cane Garden. Nice views for your guests if they like golf courses.

We love the grouper finger app.

Enjoy.

I thought the Black and Bleu flat at Urban Flats was delicious. Would definitely order it again!

Ooops...sorry...off topic... :cop: Russ, would mention you in my foursome IF I played golf and IF I was in TV.

But, I'm up in Michigan where it is beginning to warm up a bit melting all the snow and making it a slushy dirty mess.

Will be in TV in 3 weeks and have started counting the days! :hot:

Damn, I gotta get that Lasik stuff. I thought the subject line read "please play around with me" :hot: and thought maybe this board was turning into one of "those kind of sites". Well, the quasi local news seemed to think TV was just a hotbed of senior dalliances, http://www.local6.com/news/9283707/detail.html so one can hope.  I was a bit chilled, however :chillout: when I saw the original writer was Russ.

But Muncle, over on that "Playground" thread awhile ago, YOU were the one talking about swinging.

I have to stop tuning in here so late at night. I thought we were talking about whether or not we should applaud in church.

Sorry Russ.
I feel a little guilty but I played in a neighborhood schramble today at PELICAN ....Yes I said schramble which is a game where you count only the high and low score .......32 of us played and our group won , we had a lady who could putt like the boss of the moss if you know what I mean ....so I'm just sitting here counting up my winnings and dreaming of monday when I play Cane Garden with my regular guy group..........NOW what was the question , OH yes did I think of you ,,,,Sorry Pal , what do you think .... ;D ;D ;D :#1:

Wasn't my attempt to have people actually think of me - that would be weird since no one really knows me. Just sooooo bored up here in MA. You know what it's like to sit for six months and not play the game you love?

Fumar - could you explain the scramble variation that you play? Always looking for new games.

Speaking of that - i saw a woman in the villages who has written a book about various games that can be played on the course. Does anyone know more about that?

Russ
the schramble is kinda fun for a mixed group.............You write down all four scores in your foursome , BUT you only count the highest and lowest score for the hole and move to the next , After everyone drives , you pick the best one and everyone plays from there, but then you play your own ball all the way into the cup........everyone has to have at least one drive for the round. Its fun even for the gals as it keeps everyone in the game.....
I was skeptical at first but it turned out to be a lot of fun,,,,and even the girls liked it.............
