Another storm formed just before this one did, taking the name Hermine.

Or perhaps water.
Went to Sam's Club today. They had a ton of TP but no water.

Thanks!
Luckily for us the eye blew apart at Tampa Bay and we had winds around 50 mph.
Mangrove Sweetwater and Turtle Mound had flooded cart paths and greens.

A lot of the golf cart tunnels were under water like those under CR101 near Southern Trace and the one near the Oxford Walmart. This was during and after Irma.

Ian information-- TROPICAL STORM IAN

I believe the threat is from Ian, not Hermines.

We measured about 9 inches total over 2 days.
if I remember correctly, most courses were closed for a few days after the storm. They had sprinklers on for 2-3 days before it hit and during the storm. Kept the ponds at a safe level.

We were here during Irma and while after the fact it may have seemed to have been over-hyped prior to its arrival, I think complacency and over-confidence - can be dangerous. Particularly given that regardless of the eventual track of Ian, spinning off tornadoes (especially at night) can become pretty serious - pretty quickly. I just hope that wherever ends up being the target, the people and property - are not devastated.

I assume the OP was referring to Ian and not Hermine. Hermine fizzled out off the coast of Africa. Ian is now forecast to track further west towards the panhandle instead of coming ashore near Tampa which would've put us right in its path. Appears all that clean Villages life we lead spared us.....this time.

TD 9 was originally projected to develop into a named storm before TD 10 did (if it ever did) which would have resulted in it receiving the hame Hermine. TD 10 surprised the experts and strengthened quicker and so claimed the name.

the Walmart in Colony is open until 11 PM. We went there last night around 9 PM and there were no big food lines and no gas lines either. People were carrying out packs of bottled water. No shortages that we could see.
