Default SOS kitchen aid or gold package

Does anyone know the difference in function and difference in price in the appliances being KitchenAid or the Gold package when you "design your home. Have to make a decision today since they asked me yesterday at 4. Not a lot of time to figure out. Any advice or experience or comments would be helpful.
Thanks again to this site.

We just got back from doing the options. Our salesperson had quoted us with the Kitchenaid package.
It was a $3,000 upgrade over Whirlpool Gold which we went with.
The only thing I noticed is the dishwasher tub is stainless in the kitchenaid and the inside of the ovens are blue.
Prob. won't last any longer than anything else.

Keep on asking these questions as lots of folks will be going through this as well.

We come next month to look at homes and choose a lot.
I was planning on jotting down the model numbers of the appliances and then getting reviews and costs later on...

We'll see how long that takes....

Default Gold

We picked the gold package for the sole reason that the fridge had an ice maker in the door and the kitchen aid didn't.

I believe Kitchen Aid is a knock off of Whirlpool.

I went with the Gold because they don't have a KitchenAid with the slide in and that is what I wanted. I would have to go to the commercial upgrade and that just wasn't going to happen.
