Default Gas or Electric Oven & Dryer

We currently have gas oven and dryer. My wife was thinking about electric oven...easy to clean) and dryer instead of gas. We would then have to run larger cables for 220 lines for oven and dryer. Might cost $400.
In any event, what do most people have and why. Lowes salesperson said 9 out of 10 buy electric. I also heard south of 466A there is only electric offered.
Gas may be more efficient in terms of cost but dryer and oven are not on all the time but are there are reasons to stay gas or GO ELECTRIC.
Thanks

Default Gas vs. Electric

First, check your electric panel to see if you already have "fuses" for the range and dryer. We have gas in the Village of Largo and they also set it up so we could easily convert to an electric range and dryer if we wished. (The plugs are already in place) My wife wanted a flat-top electric range so we converted this past year. We kept the gas dryer because we had no reason to change it. Some say that gas is less expensive than electric but I think it comes down to personal preference. We are fortunate to have a choice since all of the new houses are all electric.

Most of my life I have had electric. We are south of 466A and gas is not available to us. Prior to when we moved here, we had gas. Given the choice, I would have gas in a heartbeat.

Electric stove for sure. I know many love gas ranges, but I have one and find it irritating. I get a ring of flame which makes a ring of heat, so I have to move my pans around to get all parts to heat. They are more difficult to clean, and more dangerous in my opinion.

Electric ranges, smooth top ones anyway, are even heating, and a breeze to clean. And you can't accidentally leave the gas on all night, as my 89 year-old father did. His CO2 alarm was the only reason he discovered his error.

Gas dryer is much more efficient. In most areas gas is cheaper than electric.
