Facts aren't negative they’re just facts.

Do you think Verizon is going to allow someone to sell the exact same service on their network cheaper?

If it's working out great for you that’s wonderful but keep in mind TV is growing fast and congestion issues may come into play down the road.
Having worked in the business, and for Verizon, they wholesaled their services to other vendors so yes, they did allow someone to sell the exact same service cheaper. The Discount was given because the customer had to do the installation, do the billing, provide customer service and repair service. They also had a minimum purchase which enabled Verizon to provide services over high capacity networks. We deprioritized early on when we didn't have the capacity but newer builds were overbuilt while legacy systems needed to be upgraded which could only be done through the business plan process. I suspect TV will be fine as Verizon projections are easier to make as construction is known and as long as Spectrum makes their business case nationally it should continue. Also remember that Spectrum is owned by Charter, somewhere around #80 in the Fortune 500 list, while not in Verizon's league, not a bad neighborhood.

I considered the comment negative since I view it as coming from a place where you based it on what was in the public domain and published in legacy locations and networks. Much of that has no application here since the plant being installed is mostly residential focused and the tower technology, muxing and fiber continues to multiply conversations. Choke points are still Central Office facilities when hand offs are required.

If you want to save a buck knock yourself out but my lifeline is not the place for me to save a buck. Maybe skipping eating out one day a month would be more rational.

Whatever you believe and works for you is all that matters.
