If someone chooses to drive slower than that, then that is their decision, not yours

Likewise, if someone chooses to break the speed limit and gets caught and fined then they have no right to complain - of course they think they are superb drivers and the law doesn't apply to them, but that's not the way it works, and we should all be grateful for that
In the villages believe that 5 miles over speed limit is very typical and safe as long as people do not tailgate.

Thankful for lady lake police, drivers coming around the corners like they are at Indy, hopefully little Villagers on walkers won’t be a statistic, slowdown and enjoy the ride please!

Wish there was an officer on every street, but criminals never like the police.

So, people were speeding and got a ticket? Thought so. Don’t break the law and you won’t get a ticket…..

Those "geezers" are capable, but they observe the speed limits.

Paragraph 1. We all know this. Thankfully, the cops make the call, not impatient, frustrated, self indugent drivers that think rules shouldn't apply to them.

Paragraph 2. Making judgments about other drivers with out knowing all the facts is just plain foolish and can lead to making dangerous decisions. Like tailgating, dangerous passing, etc.

Chula Vista avenue has always been cut off from 466 and to 466. Even before all the expanded development. LEO occasional monitors. Most of use been here while know not to speed when cutting through. Same with Rio grande ave, use to be self proclaimed resident LEO monitor with radar gun harassing speeders on Rio Grande few years ago. Haven’t heard or seen him in while, but I don’t travel over there much anymore.

Anywhere in the greater Spanish Springs/Rio Grand area. I take that road often when going to get fresh seafood at the Lighthouse Seafood store on the westbound side of 466. It’s a direct cut through between Rio Grand and 466 westbound. Going back home I go up Morse so I don’t have to do a U turn on 466 where it is a divided road. It’s been well documented that people living around that area are not happy with the road becoming an alternate rout to avoid Rolling Acres, and to a lesser extent Morse. I guess you have to live in that area to appreciate the dilemma. It doesn’t affect us where we live, but I can easily understand the problem.

Never buy a house on any short cut, or through route, for cars or carts.

Default Please enforce traffic laws--We are getting too much enforcement

People either request enforcement or don't want it. You can't have it both ways. The adage don't commit a traffic infraction no ticket, makes sense.

More than 15 years between the 6’s police presence was few and far between. Living off a busy road we might see a SC sheriff every 10 days.

South of 44 not only do you frequently see a patrol car, they actually write tickets. This morning’s 4-5am outing was no different than any other, passing 3 patrol car.
Today I will see 1-2 cars pass through our village, sometimes stopping and chatting, or a wave.

For us It was one of the determining factors of moving south.
