On my list to call Massey's on Monday for the same problem.
Redwitch, do you live in Mission Hills? That's kinda scary that they have a bad infestation problem. Was this posted somewhere, or first hand knowledge?

Default Interesting thought!

As the home watch service (The VILLAGE SITTER) for a few of the homes in Hacienda of Mission Hills, I just hung up with Massey service and the office person ask if The Villages could possibly do something for the residents in regard to the marshland behind the affected homes. I can understand the exterminator's concerns about having to go out continually if there is an infestation there that may need treating to make ALL the residents lives a little better in regards to the spiders. She also told me that when they come out to spray, it will kill only what's there at that time, it will not prevent others from coming once they have gone.
Just passing on what I've been told.

No, I don't live in Mission Hills but I do check a few houses in there. The ones by the water have a major problem right now. I also noticed that the postal station had some of the same webs but it had obviously been cleaned. The houses closest to 466 really didn't seem to have that much of a problem. So, first-hand observation.

The reality is that the homes closest to the water are probably always going to have bug issues -- nature of the beast. From what I've seen so far, it is nothing major and easily managed. People just have to be prepared that it is Florida and bugs like this state, even if we don't like them.
