I do not remember the amount but it was not over-the-top costly.

We included stackable sliders in both of our new-build homes in TV.

For us, opening up the inside to outside, increasing sunlight, and catching more breezes during the temperate seasons are worth whatever the cost we paid.

We have stackable sliders in our spec home. We really like them. It opens the room up so much. It's one of those things that you wouldn't miss having them unless you had them once. Then you are hooked.

Our realtor told us they are expensive to add after market (over 2K), so I am glad we settled on a home that has them.

Seems the sliders on the Gardenia last Oct were about $7-800 adder. Worth it - that is a big reason we chose the Gardenia. Not all models can have them. Gardenia, begonia and Lantana can have the sliders and I think they added a different design to get the same effect with some other models.

Definitely worth it whatever the cost. Many of our neighbors regret not getting them. It really opens up a house. We have the Gardenia model.

We have the, ever-so-ugly vertical blinds. We love the stackables in our Begonia, but don't know what to do about window treatments. We're considering getting Coolaroos (sp?) for the east-facing lanai and taking the verticals down.

I would definitely add them at the time of build, because it's a lot more expensive to do it later.

We kept the verticals because we are close to our rear neighbor and put a curtain panel on each side.

We have stackable sliders on our new Aspen .We chose not to put any blind on the sliders as we are waiting for the installation of our coolaroos out on our lanai.

If we get the stackable sliders, we will use a simple sheer that will cover the area of the sliders, but thin enough to fit beside the sliders when open. We got that idea from our sales rep.
We do not have a kissing lanai and so we do not need to have the urgent need for privacy,
I personally don't care for vertical blinds, mainly because of the rattle. But they do provide privacy when neighbors are closeby.

Where would one get a price and installation of the stackable sliders?

I've asked our sales rep to include it in the bid she is currently pricing. Each week I think of something new... she has the patience of a saint!!
I also asked about making our driveway full width of the garage. That looks like it will be truly convenient when we have family visit and several cars to park.
Should get my bid today...... trying to be patient myself....
